Top Exit Advisors is an annual recognition program that identifies and celebrates the professionals who help business owners navigate the complex process of selling their companies. Our editorial team researches, evaluates, and publishes a curated list of advisors who have demonstrated exceptional skill, integrity, and client outcomes in the field of business exits.

The publication covers the full spectrum of exit advisory disciplines, including M&A advisory, exit planning, business valuation, business brokerage, transactional law, and tax planning for business sales. Our goal is to provide business owners with a trusted resource when selecting the professionals who will guide them through one of the most consequential financial events of their lives.

How Honorees Are Selected

Our selection process is rigorous, multi-step, and entirely independent. It begins with nominations from peers, clients, and industry professionals, and continues with editorial research and panel review.

• Nomination. Anyone may nominate an advisor. Self-nominations are also accepted. There is no fee to nominate or be considered.
• Research. Our editorial team reviews each nominee's professional credentials, transaction experience, client references, and industry reputation.
• Panel Review. A review panel evaluates finalists based on deal quality, client satisfaction, professional standing, and contributions to the field.
• Publication. The final list is published annually. Honorees are notified and featured on our website and in partner publications.

Editorial Criteria

Advisors are evaluated on several key dimensions. No single factor determines selection. Our editorial team considers the following:

• Track Record. Demonstrated history of successful client outcomes, including completed transactions and measurable value delivered.
• Client Satisfaction. References and testimonials from past clients, with attention to communication, transparency, and professionalism.

Top Exit Advisors is a fully independent editorial publication. There is no fee, sponsorship, or payment of any kind associated with being nominated, considered, or selected as an honoree. Our editorial decisions are made solely on merit.
