Gerry Spitzer

Gerry Spitzer is co-founder of Questar Capital Partners, a New Jersey-based advisory firm specializing in Employee Stock Ownership Plans and exit planning for privately held business owners. He and his partner built a practice focused on exit planning over twenty years at UBS, growing assets under management to approximately $850 million before leaving in 2022 to launch Questar Capital Partners with support from Sanctuary Wealth. Questar now works with companies generating $20 million to $300 million in annual revenue and more than $3 million in EBITDA, with a particular focus on owners who want to preserve culture and leadership through a transition. Spitzer was appointed the first President of the Exit Planning Institute's New Jersey chapter. He holds the CPA, CEPA, CPWA, and CRPC designations, an unusually broad stack that covers fiduciary planning, exit readiness, and ESOP work.
